“Working with Sebastian in the depth branding process was like being guided into my own hidden treasure chest.”
Joshua Edjida is a filmmaker, consciousness development expert, and the creator of multiple interconnected methodologies spanning storytelling, personal transformation, and media innovation. When we began working together, he had a dozen powerful ideas, each substantial, each connected to the others, but no unified way to present them. He didn’t yet see the potential of his brand. He didn’t fully value his own language. And the depth and specificity of his thinking made it difficult for others to access what he was offering.
The Depth Branding process that followed became one of the most extensive collaborations I’ve done, spanning brand strategy, visual identity, web design, storyworld development, and the ongoing excavation of Joshua’s creative genius through facilitated dialogue.

The Challenge
Joshua arrived with raw brilliance and real frustration. He had years of deep work in consciousness, storytelling, and therapeutic modalities, but the pieces were floating independently. Several concrete challenges shaped the engagement:
No unified brand presence. Joshua had multiple offerings and frameworks, each valuable on its own, but no overarching identity holding them together. Without that container, his work appeared fragmented rather than interconnected.
Complex thinking that resisted easy translation. Joshua’s mind works in ways that are genuinely atypical. His insights are layered, associative, and often several steps ahead of where his audience can follow. He needed someone who could track his thinking and help translate it without flattening it.
Undervalued raw material. Some of Joshua’s most powerful ideas came through as casual riffs, offhand metaphors, and frustrated critiques. He didn’t recognize these as the core teachings they were. They needed to be caught, mirrored back, and shaped into language he could stand behind.
No awareness of personal brand potential. Joshua was focused on his methodologies and content, not on how his own story, perspective, and voice functioned as the connective tissue across everything he offers.

The Process: Depth Branding Through Facilitated Dialogue
The foundation of this engagement was dialogue. Through structured conversation, I worked with Joshua to surface what was already alive in his thinking, give it form, and connect it to a coherent brand identity. The process involved several distinct moves that recurred across our sessions:
By the end of our dialogue sessions, I was able to distill Joshua’s raw insights into a clear positioning statement: A path where creators mature themselves through their own work, turning creation into living medicine for others.
Joshua hadn’t arrived with that language. It emerged through the process, excavated from what was already there.
A Moment From the Process
To give a sense of how this facilitation works in practice, here is an exchange from our early sessions:
By the end of our dialogue sessions, I was able to distill Joshua’s raw insights into a clear positioning statement: A path where creators mature themselves through their own work, turning creation into living medicine for others.
Joshua hadn’t arrived with that language. It emerged through the process, excavated from what was already there.
"A story is a process. Think of it like a blender: you put in raw ingredients and transform them into something digestible. Storytelling does that with charged situations. The storyteller delivers them in a way that makes their energy usable. But the key is that storytellers themselves are the ingredient. They must put themselves through the blender first. Story is supposed to transform the storyteller before it reaches the audience."
"So what you're saying is there's a lack of awareness of both the responsibility and the opportunity in storytelling. On one side, people can create noise or even harm. On the other, they can deliver real value."
"Exactly. And the deeper point is transformation. The storyteller must take their own medicine first. If they don't, the work loses its integrity."
"That means storytelling isn't about composing something for others. If someone creates only to reach an audience, they skip the first step. The true starting point is creating what is medicine for yourself."
This pattern, Joshua speaking from raw instinct and the facilitation catching it, sharpening it, and returning it as something he could own, repeated across all our sessions. By the end, Joshua had a language for his methodology that he’d never been able to articulate alone.
Later in the process, we moved from philosophy into the practical challenge of working with people:
"It sounds like even when someone comes to you and says, 'I want to learn this,' that doesn't mean they can fully access it yet. What's actually in the way?"
"Conditioning. People don't realize that their conditioning itself creates resistance. They want to rush ahead, but they're not ready."
"So the first challenge isn't to teach them, but to help them see that they're carrying armor they don't even know is there."
"Exactly. It's like asking someone to drop their weapons at the door. They have to arrive in peace, willing to listen."
"And that moment — dropping the weapons — is the initiation. Before they can weave stories, they must surrender survival strategies."
What Emerged:
The Brand Universe
Through the Depth Branding process, Joshua’s scattered ideas became an interconnected brand ecosystem. Each piece found its place within a coherent whole, with a clear visual identity, accessible language, and a defined relationship to the other parts.
What follows is an overview of each project, what it is, and what I contributed.

Joshua’s personal website serves as the central hub connecting all his modalities and offerings. It establishes him as a filmmaker and consciousness development expert, providing the overarching identity that ties everything together.
My contribution: Website design and build. Logo design. Identity clarification through the Depth Branding dialogue process.

The Portal of Creation
A twelve-stage transformative methodology integrating the hero’s journey, ancient enneagram knowledge, and the transformation of consciousness through the twelve Jungian archetypes. The Portal of Creation serves as a structured path for self-realization, guiding individuals from initial awakening through to being of genuine service to others. Joshua’s unique approach combines ancient wisdom with modern techniques, weaving creative storytelling with shamanic practices, energy transmissions, and trauma healing.
This was the initial breakthrough moment of our collaboration, the point where the Depth Branding process first made visible the coherent structure underlying Joshua’s thinking.
My contribution: Logo design. Concept support and presentation of the methodology. Infographic design. Artwork featured on Joshua’s page.

Quantum Theater
An innovative therapeutic modality that combines elements of immersive theater with personal transformation work, operating at the intersection of healing and awakening. Quantum Theater addresses both emotional trauma (moving stuck energy and resolving unfinished internal stories) and consciousness expansion (releasing fixed identities and opening perception). The modality views emotional trauma as unprocessed energy held in place by outdated belief systems, guiding participants from a stuck state toward resolution and completion.
My contribution: Logo design. Through our conversations, I helped Joshua translate the density of this modality into language that communicates clearly to people encountering it for the first time.

The Blind Seers
A storyworld set in 2041, where a tribe of consciousness pioneers called the Blind Seers have established the Dreamwalker Foundation, a sanctuary exploring the harmonious integration of artificial intelligence with human creativity, ancient wisdom, and spiritual development. The storyworld examines what becomes possible when technology amplifies rather than replaces human consciousness.
At the heart of the Blind Seers universe stands Roberta Imago, a sentient botanical android who serves as guide and chief researcher at the Dreamwalker Foundation, bridging ancient Toltec wisdom with cutting-edge technology.
My contribution: Logo design. Storyworld development. Character design for Roberta Imago, including 3D character creation (now animated with AI). Virtual dome landscape design and much more.

True Participation (Parent Brand)
The parent brand encompassing Joshua’s transformational media publishing work. True Participation creates experiences that bridge entertainment and consciousness expansion, pioneering a model where media becomes a catalyst for personal and collective evolution. The brand operates on principles of conscious creation, adaptive intelligence, and genuine community connection.
My contribution: Logo design. Full website build.

The LUCID System
A framework for analyzing and predicting film success through storytelling originality. LUCID stands for “Levels of Unconscious and Conscious Integration and Differentiation.” Films are rated according to five levels of consciousness, and after mapping hundreds of films against these levels, the system found that films operating at Levels 3 and 4 are most likely to succeed. The LUCID system provides a concrete, measurable bridge between consciousness development and creative output.
My contribution: Logo design. Website page design and build.

CinemaCamp
An inner wisdom school for filmmakers. In a landscape where AI can handle increasingly technical aspects of filmmaking, CinemaCamp develops the one asset that cannot be automated: the filmmaker’s consciousness. The program focuses on cultivating the internal depth that gives technical skill its meaning and power.
My contribution: Logo design. Landing page design. Imagery and icon design.

Storyweaving (5 Levels of Mastery)
My contribution: Logo design. Book cover.

Results
A coherent brand ecosystem where seven previously disconnected projects now sit within a unified identity structure, each clearly defined and visually distinct while belonging to an obvious whole.
Clear, accessible language for Joshua’s methodology and philosophy, language that emerged from his own words and thinking, sharpened through dialogue.
Brand positioning that differentiates Joshua’s work from mainstream industry approaches by naming what makes his perspective unique rather than trying to fit it into existing categories.
A complete visual identity system spanning personal brand, therapeutic modalities, educational platforms, analytical frameworks, and speculative storyworld: seven logo designs, two full website builds, multiple page designs, character design, storyworld visuals, infographics, and icons.
Increased confidence in his own genius and how to communicate it. Joshua came in not recognizing the value of his raw language and instincts. He left with the ability to articulate his work clearly and the knowledge that his casual riffs contained his most powerful teachings.

What This Case Demonstrates
This engagement shows what becomes possible when brand development begins with excavation rather than invention. Joshua did not only need someone to create a brand for him. He also needed someone who could track his thinking, catch what he couldn’t see in himself, and give it form: visually, verbally, and structurally.
The result is a brand universe that genuinely represents the person behind it: interconnected, deep, original, and alive.
Creating a brand strategy through the Depth Branding approach is not just about identifying market trends and optimizing for sales. It’s a process that begins with a deep dive into the core values and vision of your business, seeking alignment between what you offer and the impact you wish to create.
The first step involves a thorough exploration of your business’s unique story, understanding the motivations behind your mission, and defining what truly sets you apart.
From there, we craft a comprehensive brand strategy that goes beyond visuals and slogans. This includes clarifying your target audience—not just in demographic terms, but by connecting with their deeper needs and desires. We look at how your brand can genuinely serve, inspire, and engage them. The next phase focuses on developing messaging that resonates authentically, creating brand touchpoints that build trust and meaningful connections.
We then translate this strategic vision into actionable plans, encompassing everything from visual identity design to content creation and communication strategies. This ensures that every interaction reflects the essence of your brand, fostering consistent growth and loyalty over time. Finally, we implement tools and systems to measure how well your brand is aligning with its purpose, adjusting as needed to remain true to the values that drive your business forward.
