The use of artificial intelligence for making art has been a controversial topic. Some say it is not art at all. We could say the same of some work that has been created by people throwing paint against a canvas and calling it art. On the other hand, one could say that it is an art by itself to clearly ask for what you want, and that is actually what you need to master in order consistently create outstanding results with the help of Ai. This type of creation of images is a type that requires lesser skills than many other forms of art, so we get results much quicker without having to practice for months or years. However, there is still a difference between the random generation of nice looking images and the creation of some concept art from start to finish. So as skill increases (as with any other technique) the results can also be expected to become better. 

With use of artificial intelligence I enjoy the experience as almost boundless possibilities in creating visuals. It is not unlimited but there are so many things possible now (and every day some more) and it's only going to get more capable, versatile, and expansive. So I embrace it and I use it to create image concepts, explore ideas, or just to play. 

For the final results I often use other tools to optimize or fix details of the images and sometimes I merge various images together. I also like the mixed media approach, in which I combine elements that I made with Ai and elements, which I have created "manually", using other digital tools like 3D software,  Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop.  You can look at a mixed media example by clicking here.
